After finishing our Canadian Rockies photography workshop, I had a couple of days before heading home, so we headed south into Waterton National Park to spend some time photographing for ourselves.
It was a very different experience to the workshop. After everything that had happened over the preceding months, I had been finding it difficult to see photographs in the way I normally would.
These couple of days became less about chasing perfect conditions and more about simply getting outside, slowing down and looking again.
From the dead trees and mountain landscapes to a quiet river and a forest filled with flowering rhododendrons, I eventually managed to find a few images that I was genuinely happy with.
