Meet Paul Thomson – Professional Landscape Photographer

Paul Thomson is a professional landscape photographer based in Cumbria, with the North Pennines and Lake District as his constant sources of inspiration. With a passion for wild places and fleeting light, Paul’s work seeks to capture the beauty, mood, and magic of the natural world and share it with others.

He is an ambassador for Kase Filters UK, Sigma UK, Summit Creative UK, Kingjoy Tripods UK, and Fjern Outdoors. His photography has been published in Practical Photography Magazine and other publications, featured on the BBC, and he is a contributor to Outdoor Photography Guide.

Alongside his photographic work, Paul runs an active YouTube channel and the Landscape photography vlogcast podcast, where he shares insights into photography, creativity, and the experience of being immersed in nature. He also leads residential workshops across the UK and abroad in destinations such as Italy and Canada, as well as offering one-to-one tuition.

Through his images and teaching, Paul hopes to inspire others to not only improve their photography but also to connect more deeply with the landscapes around them.
